Blueloop has been awarded the ICT provision and support tender by Somerset Chamber of Commerce, to provide the Chamber’s technological infrastructure to support hybrid working, optimise IT management and secure project operations. In particular, Somerset Chamber needed to ensure the continued use of hybrid working to allow staff to operate effectively from office, home, or offsite locations. We designed a flexible and comprehensive solution including a hybrid IT support framework. This gave the Chamber better control over their IT infrastructure, including the ability to independently manage their Microsoft 365 environment.

Throughout the nine-stage bidding process, Blueloop showcased its Managed Service Support contract, which includes responsive ‘break/fix’ services and proactive support hours each quarter to handle new initiatives such as on-boarding and project-based tasks. Our tailored Service Level Agreements offer clear response and resolution times, aligning with the Chamber’s dynamic support needs.

Advanced Data Centre and Security Infrastructure

To ensure data security and continuity, Blueloop provides a secure, in-house data centre that features comprehensive protections including flood resistance, advanced surveillance, redundant power systems with UPS and generator backup, and rigorous fire suppression. Dual high-speed internet connections and Firewalls with fail-over capability bolster network reliability, while environmental controls maintain optimal server conditions.

Monitoring and Compliance with Monitoring and Cyber Essentials

Blueloop has implemented continuous monitoring of the Chamber’s IT systems which oversee all server and application functionalities. Regular patch updates, in alignment with Microsoft’s Patch Tuesday, will keep all systems secure and updated. Additionally, Blueloop’s Cyber Essentials and ISO27001 accreditation underscore its dedication to maintaining the highest standards of cybersecurity and compliance.
