Redline Reporting & Monitoring
Redline puts the power to manage your entire GroupWise enterprise at your fingertips. With a Web-based
interface and Redline's GroupWise at a Glance™ Dashboard, you can see your entire GroupWise system. Redline
also allows automated alerts via pager, email, or SNMP traps in addition to Compliance and Capacity Planning
reports and the availability to drill down into a single agent to verify its configuration.
With Redline, there are no surprises. With almost 2000 pieces of managed data, Redline is the most powerful
tool on the market to manage GroupWise. Unlike other solutions that give you disjointed information or
reports that just skim the surface, Redline puts it all together. Problems like messages backing up in
queues, disk space hogs, SMTP failures and slow message traffic are all a thing of the past with Redline.
Compliance Reporting and Alerting

Redline is a reporting and monitoring solution for Novell GroupWise® that provides, GroupWise at a Glance™,
a Dashboard for quick access to the most critical areas of GroupWise®, a real-time monitoring solution that
notifies you via email or pager and a System viewer that allows you to see all of the details of your
GroupWise components in a single view. Redline produces reports for compliance, system analysis, capacity
planning and security auditing.
Architecture
Redline employs a two-tiered architecture which consists of an agent that gathers information from each
GroupWise server and a web-based Control Center that provides a Dashboard, Reporting, Alerting and
Configuration for Redline. The Agents natively support GroupWise on NetWare, Linux and Windows. The
Control Center, as a web-based application, supports IE, Netscape and Firefox browsers.

Reporting
Through the Control Center you can access the predefined HTML reports for Redline. The reports are organised
by solution area to include System Operations, Disk Space Management, Compliance Reporting and ROI Analysis.
Additional reports will be provided on a monthly basis to all customers under Maintenance.
Monitoring and Alerting
Redline provides configurable alerts on many areas of GroupWise such as system availability, message traffic,
message delivery, and security compliance. The alerts can be viewed via our web based Control Center or sent
to email, pagers, or via SNMP traps to 3rd party Monitoring architectures.
Support for Palm and Pocket PC
Managing GroupWise is not always a task that you can accomplish at your desk. With the new Mobile Device
Support, you can view Redline from Palm or Pocket PC devices. No longer are you tethered to your desk and
a web browser, you can use Redline anywhere or anytime.
New 3rd Party Integration
With the integration of Blackberry Enterprise Server, Notify Technology NotifyLink, and Toffa SyncWise 2005,
we have begun to extend the reach of Redline to other products. Redline is a management application for your
messaging system. This system includes technology from Novell, security technologies from GWAVA, and mobility
solutions. In a future release, we will provide support for over 10 other vendors so that Redline can truly
be your single point of management for GroupWise.
GroupWise at a Glance™ Dashboard
Our easy to use GroupWise at a Glance Dashboard provides a quick way to evaluate the overall health of your
GroupWise systems. With alert indicators that tie into the monitoring infrastructure, performance indicators
that show key information about GroupWise and graphs and RPM gauges that show message traffic and connected
users, you will see everything you need in one screen. While everything is preconfigured out of the box,
advanced users can customise the dashboard to meet their unique needs.
System Viewer
The System Viewer provides a single point to drill down into each component of your GroupWise system providing
easy access to information you need to diagnose problems, check the operations of your systems or evaluate
system health.
Messaging Tracking
Many organisations want to track the delivery and performance of mail through their systems. Until now, many
organisations had to guess at how long it took messages to be delivered or wait until users complained to
know if mail was being delivered to or from the Internet. With the Message Tracking features of Redline 2.0,
customers can now trend message traffic both internally and externally through the system. In many cases slow
message delivery is just a precursor to bigger problems. Redline helps eliminate these issues.
