Skillbuild, a plumbing company from Over Stratton, Somerset, have benefited from the Connecting Somerset Project. Skillbuild are now able to use a wireless connection to access their internal network and the internet using a Wireless ADSL Router, installed as part of the recent upgrades. The technology is allowing Skillbuild to expand and provides cost savings over wired infrastructure. A key driver for the project was the requirement to register Corgi parts with 'One Click'. This registration is a statutory requirement for all installations and the improved facility saves Skillbuild £5 on each transaction.

Customers and suppliers are also now able to correspond by email. Skillbuild have seen huge improvements and efficiencies in their business communications as a result.

Nathan Charles from Blueloop who designed and commissioned the solution says "ConnectingSomerset is an important project for small businesses within the county. We expect many of our clients to benefit from the project and bring their business communications up to date."
